About This Website…
Welcome to my website, ‘Train Enthusiast’s Video Diary’ by Adnoorak.
The purpose of this site is to provide interested "train" and/or "steam power" enthusiasts with content selection options when viewing videos that I have taken, edited, and uploaded to YouTube – all titled as follows: "Train Enthusiast’s Video Diary yyyy-mm-dd" under my user name "Adnoorak".
NOTE: I have used the term, "steam power", to cover a range of uses beyond steam powered trains, that is, to cover steam powered boats, tractors, trucks, and stationary engines.
The plan is to subdivide the list of videos into points of interest, which I have called 'Train/Steam Power Events'. For example, a set of descriptions and hyperlinks relating to train/steam power events in a specific state of Australia or descriptions and hyperlinks relating to train/steam power events that involve a specific steam locomotive (like steam locomotive SAR 520 or steam locomotive SAR 207) or a steam powered boat (like the 'Oscar W' at Goolwa, South Australia). See these event options listed under the 'Train/Steam Power Events...' tag.
I have uploaded videos taken in the 1980s covering train/steam power events which were recorded on VHS tape and later transferred to DVD. In the early 2000s, I graduated to mini DV tapes which were also transferred to DVD. More recently, I was recording HD video to SD cards. And, most recently, I’m using my iPhone to record 4K video…how lucky we are now, to have such quality and portability for amateurs to use?
Enjoy! Regards, Adnoorak.
